And Jesus said to them

"I am the bread of life, He who comes to me shall never hunger, and he who believes in me shall never thirst."

John 6:35

Sunday we celebrate the Feast of Pentecost, the gift of the Holy Spirit! We encourage you to wear red as a sign of the Holy Spirit alive and dwelling within you and in your church community. Have you been considering how God is active in our midst today? Talk with your spouse, your children, grandchildren, dog, cat, neighbor, etc, about where you see God active in our living. Part of our calling as baptized children of God is to be in conversation with one another about our fruitful relationship with Christ! I look forward to our time of worship and celebration together this Sunday the 19th!!

In God's Grace,
Eric L. Miller+

ECSF GRANTSEEKERS' WORKSHOPS

The Episcopal Community Services Foundation is holding a grant seekers' workshop for Greater Cincinnati churches on Tuesday evening, June 4 at Church of the Advent, 2366 Kemper Lane, Cincinnati from 6-9 pm.

ECSF is the Diocese of Southern Ohio’s major source of grants for ministry tackling poverty within this state. This is a great chance to explore ECSF’s new funding priorities and the planning process ECSF recommends to churches working to transform community conditions. We will explain the spirituality and practical considerations underlying the questions on the proposal and grantee follow-up report.

We encourage anyone working in community ministry to attend, even if you don’t plan to apply for an ECSF grant. ECSF workshops include plenty of time for people to share lore across congregations. The discussion will be enhanced by perspectives from a variety of people tackling similar issues. The workshop is free, and includes a simple meal. (Freewill offering gratefully received to help cover food, but not required)

You can register at www.ECSFsouthernohio.org or by calling 513-221-0547. The funding priorities and proposal form are posted at the Awarding Grants tab of the website. Hope to see you at the historic Church of the Advent in Walnut Hills!

Ariel Miller, ECSF Executive Director
